AAH and Numark/Nucare

AAH has written to Numark and Nucare customers concerning potential new arrangements to their business following the acquisition of Nucare by Numark.
From 1 October, the once independent Nucare buying group will be fully integrated into the Phoenix owned Numark business. AAH has decided to offer our customers the option of achieving their business objectives without being tied to the new organisation and will be presenting a number of alternatives to maintain their independence.
Commenting on the decision Gary Lunt, Sales Director, said…
"We looked long and hard at the proposal to continue supplying our long standing customers through the new Numark business. However, we came to a clear view that the proposal would not be in the interests of those customers or AAH. There are alternative options which we think better meet their needs.
Over the coming weeks, we will be explaining those options to customers both directly and at local roadshows.
This decision has not been taken lightly, however we believe that the degree of change that the proposed merger creates requires us to provide alternatives that we consider offer the right choices for our customers in this current challenging environment.
We remain committed to ensuring that our customers can obtain the best balanced proposition for all their pharmacy needs."
