AAH Pharmaceuticals has teamed up with Patient Dynamics to offer pharmacists practical help to undertake mandatory community pharmacy patient questionnaires. Pharmacists who sign up to Patient Dynamics via AAH can take advantage of 20% discount off their order only until the end of March.
Patient questionnaires are an essential part of clinical governance. Under the pharmacy contract all community pharmacists must ensure that the relevant numbers of questionnaires are conducted annually.
Ajit Malhi, head of marketing services for AAH, says “Undertaking annual patient questionnaires can take up a huge amount of pharmacists’ valuable time and can be seen as an additional burden.
“At AAH, we want to make sure that there is support and expert help on hand to make the process as smooth and straight forward as possible. By working with Patient Dynamics, we have been able to add value by ensuring that the survey results can be used as a useful management tool. They will give pharmacists essential feedback on the performance of the pharmacy and demonstrate where improvements can be made.”
The first questionnaires have to be carried out by the end of March using a national template which has been agreed by the Department of Health and the PSNC.
AAH would like to remind pharmacists to contact their AAH Business Manager) for a last chance to sign up to receive the 20% discount, or call AAH directly on 02476 625256.
Once an order is received by Patient Dynamics, you will receive a step by step guide on how to carry out the patient questionnaires, an easy-to-use survey system for the questionnaires, posters and some pre-paid envelopes for the completed questionnaires to be sent back into Patient Dynamics.
Patient Dynamics will then collate and analyse the results before reporting back to the pharmacist. The report will include strengths and weaknesses, a comparison with similar pharmacies and advice on where improvements can be made. The reporting is all produced using methodologies which are smart and professional.
Malhi continues, “We would urge pharmacists to ensure that they complete enough questionnaires to meet the requirements of the contract especially with the closing date for the first questionnaires fast approaching.”
Pharmacists will receive help to decide whether to conduct questionnaires on paper, online or a combination. Online questionnaires will be available in 4 languages and can be filled in either at the pharmacy, at home or on any computer with internet access.
