Vascular health screening is included in AAH Pharmaceuticals' Health Watch Lifestyle assessment service.
Health Watch is the AAH solution for pharmacies aiming to offer patient-focused medicines advice and support, and screening services. Customers are able to choose from between one and all of the 15 services currently offered.
The company is committed to supplying marketing support, a dedicated business manager to supply training and support, comprehensive training manuals, concise reporting forms and patient information booklets.
The Health Watch service costs just £30 per month for the pharmacist to take advantage of the support and training, while the equipment supplied to carry out the screening services is offered at competitive rates.
For instance, blood pressure monitors and glucose meters are supplied free of charge to Health Watch members, combined, these would normally cost more than £40. A cardiocheck meter costs £180.
The Lifestyle Assessment service will only cost the pharmacist £349, this is a one off payment suggests that, should one assessment be carried out each week over a 12 month period, the investment is as little as £6.71 per patient screening.
Additional items that are required per patient are a lancet (8p), glucose test strips (28p), pipettes (15p), HDL test strips (£2.70) and total cholesterol strips (£2.30).
