New electronic MUR wizard available in Link

05 May 2008

AAH Pharmaceuticals has rolled out its latest version of LINKEvolution with the addition of the new electronic MUR forms wizard.

As LINKEvolution is an ETP enabled system, the company has gained full Connecting for Health accreditation for the new MUR wizard which will benefit its pharmacy customers.

The latest update (V10) for England and Wales allows pharmacists to follow the step-by-step MUR wizard which guides the user through the form. It has been developed especially to help record information in an electronic version of the new MUR form that was released earlier in 2008.

Leon Rudd, director of marketing for AAH said: “The latest version of LINKEvolution demonstrates an excellent opportunity for pharmacists to improve patient relations and progress their business.

“Hitting MUR targets equates to an improved bottom line; the MUR wizard will help speed this process up and increase the chances of managing MURs more efficiently. It can also reduce the amount of manual intervention and human error to assist pharmacists in reaching these set goals.”

The latest update gives a total overview of the patient and the way in which they use their medication. This is integrated with existing data in the patient's medical record, and provides the comprehensive audit trail demanded by the pharmacy contract.

Leon Rudd added: “We are constantly developing the LINK system to meet the requirements of our customers and the demands of our profession across all four nations. It is vital that we do everything that we can to empower our customers and help them run a productive operation in an ever-changing environment.”
