Does the arrival of a new MD at AAH signal a change of attitude towards independent community pharmacists, or is it ‘business as usual’
AAH’s and Mark’s personal commitment to delivering the best possible service and support to independent community pharmacy remains as strong as ever.
AAH continues to perform strongly, delivering excellent service to our customers resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction. A new appointment at the top will always result in some changes; however, Mark James has 17 years experience at AAH and with it comes invaluable knowledge in pharmacy.
Any changes will be made for the benefit of our customers and AAH – we continue to work very closely with independents to deliver products, advice and professional supports.
Wholesalers are increasingly branching out into other areas, such as buying groups, virtual chains, generics ranges – what plans does AAH have for ‘branching out’ in the near future?
As you would expect, AAH constantly looks at ways in which it could improve the way in which it supports its independent pharmacy customers. However, AAH already offers access to the full range of products and services which our customers need.
AAH wishes to focus on its core business and strive to deliver what our customers want from their wholesaler and not to enter areas that are better delivered by other organisations such as dedicated generic manufacturers.
What does AAH offer independent pharmacists that sets it apart from other wholesalers?
I think independent pharmacists choose AAH for three reasons:
Firstly, independent pharmacists know they can trust and rely on us. AAH offers a consistently good quality of service which provides pharmacies with near immediate access to every product they need, including OTC and PIs, at value for money prices.
Secondly, we offer an unrivalled, comprehensive range of business and professional supports which, for example, enable independent pharmacists to provide patient services and we can help them make their business more profitable.
Thirdly, we have good people committed to doing a good job who understand the particular needs of and pressures on independent pharmacists.
