AAH Wins National Fleet of the Year 2012

Over 1,400 industry leaders and guests gathered in the Grosvenor hotel last night to be part of what is arguably the biggest transport award ceremony of the year. The fleet news awards is a highly prestigous ceremony, which recognises outstanding performance and achievements within the UK’s transport industry.

There are many award categories recognised for excellence, but the main award is for the overall ‘Fleet of the Year – 1000+ vehicles’ – which I am delighted to announce was won by AAH Pharmaceuitcals.

Over 30 blue chip and major UK businesses entered our category, with shortlisted companies being Mitie Group, The AA, IBM, Strathclyde Police, and KPMG.

The judges chose AAH as we demonstrated indsutry leading advancements and achievements in the following key areas:

  • A strong distribution strategy, supported across our entire organisation
  • Demonstrating industry leadership in our sector
  • The largest accredited driver training and development programme in the UK
  • Demonstrable achievements in envrionmental enhancements
  • Demonstrable achievemetns in safety improvements, accident reduction and risk management.
  • Best practice in fleet procurement and fleet cost management

This is a fantastic achievement for AAH, and demonstrates that we are not only leading the pharmaceutical sector, but are also recognised as operating the best fleet and distribution operation within the UK transport industry.

This award recognises the hard work and commitment demonstrated by our branch network and our Distribution UK team as well as the support from across our organisation – we should all be extremely proud of receiving such high profile external recognition.

This award comes quickly after other recent successes by AAH, who recently became the first UK business to be awarded the FTA’s Van Excellence scheme, in addition to AAH winning top place in the category of ‘Innovation in Safety’ back in November 2011
