UCB Discounts

On 15 September, UCB informed wholesalers that they have made an application for a number of their products to be reclassified as Zero Discount from November this year. The products are:

• Dexedrine tablets (already ZD)
• Ethinyloestradiol tablets 10mcg 21
• Ethinyloestradiol tablets 1mg 28
• Ethinyloestradiol tablets 50 mcg 21
• Keppra oral solution
• Keppra tablets 1000mcg 60
• Keppra tablets 500mg 60
• Keppra tablets 750mg 60
• Viridal 10 Duo Starter Pack (already ZD)
• Viridal 20 Duo Starter Pack (already ZD)
• Viridal 40 Duo Starter Pack (already ZD)
• Viridal 10 Duo Continuation Pack
• Viridal 20 Duo Continuation Pack
• Viridal 40 Duo Continuation Pack

At the same time, UCB informed wholesalers that with immediate effect there would be no discount for these products.

As a result, AAH has written to its customers to inform them that from 21 September AAH was no longer in a position to offer discount on these products.

Discounts on the remaining qualifying ethical UCB products are unaffected.

AAH believes strongly that when changes are made to the discounts available those changes should be reflected in the clawback mechanism.
