Pharmacy Technicians of the Year Awards 2012

The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK and AAH Pharmaceuticals are pleased to announce the winners of the Pharmacy Technicians of the Year Awards 2012.

The Primary Care Award has gone to Joanne Widdowson-Wild, Registered Pharmacy Technician, Wicker Pharmacy, Sheffield for her project "How can we improve recording to provide an evidence base for signposting requests, as part of the community contractual framework?"

The Secondary Care Award has gone to Sarah Goman and Susan Edwards, Senior Pharmacy Technicians, Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff for their project " Introduction of an oral vinorelbine education and toxicity assessment service".

The Professional Award has gone to Nicola Slingo-Foulds, Chief Technician Aseptic Services, North Manchester General Hospital and Chair of the Manchester Branch of APTUK.

Andrew Morris, AAH Director of Sales, said he was delighted with the number and high quality of this years entries "We recognise the importance of promoting the role of the Pharmacy Technician and will continue to champion excellence by encouraging and rewarding forward thinking and innovation"

The Awards were established in 1997 to promote the important role of the Pharmacy Technician in developing and improving pharmacy services and to encourage forward thinking and innovation. AAH Pharmaceuticals are delighted to continue to be involved with these awards.
