N3 – the new national network connecting healthcare professionals
N3 is at the heart of the Government's drive to revolutionise the way the NHS works. One of the most advanced projects of its type anywhere in the world, N3 will deliver a high-speed secure broadband network to connect all NHS organisations and professionals in England.
The importance of N3 cannot be understated: this is the network that will deliver a whole range of new functions needed to improve patient care. The Care Records Service, Electronic Booking Service, Electronic Transmission of Prescriptions and even the transfer of digital images will be carried by N3. Clearly then, N3 will be as important to the future NHS as road and rail networks are to our daily lives.
At AAH, we're making all the benefits of N3 available to community pharmacists across England. As the first pharmacy IT system supplier to work in partnership with IMS Health, an N3 network partner we are continuing to roll out our onestopshop EPS solution to pharmacies across the country.
LINKEvolution was the first Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) solution to have approval from NHS Connecting for Health for widespread deployment to pharmacies. Working closely with IMS Health and BT, we can ensure that our customers connect to N3 just as soon as their EPS-enabled IT system is installed.
