MUR Support Pack

The Pharmacy Contract states that pharmacists should regularly conduct a Medicines Use Review (MUR), to engage, inform and advise patients about their medicine use and associated well-being.

MURs help patients use their medicines more effectively, and aim to improve the patients' knowledge and use of their medicines by:

  • Establishing the patient's actual use, understanding and experience of taking their medicines
  • Identifying side effects and drug interactions that may affect patient compliance
  • Reducing medicine wastage

Providing such services is a challenge for any pharmacy, but with help from AAH, it is one that is ideally suited to the independent - your knowledge of loyal customers and contacts with local GPs will make it easier for them to trust your experience and expertise.
