New distribution arrangements - Shire

Shire has announced that they have implemented a reduced wholesaler model, effective as of 1st May 2010. This model involves AAH which means customers will continue to be able to order and receive products from us in the normal way.

As a result of these changes, we have had to review the discount we can offer in order to continue to provide customers with competitive terms along with high levels of service. A discount of 6.4% will apply to qualifying ethical products from 1st July 2010.

We will apply the new discount rate for Shire qualifying ethical products after the new distribution model has been implemented. Whilst this will have financial implications for AAH, we remain committed, in so far as we can, to providing customers with a reasonable notice period when such changes occur.

In the case of Xagrid, which is manufactured by Shire, AAH is no longer able to offer this product as a qualifying ethical and therefore no discount will apply from 1st July.

Calcichew will remain at its present level of discount.
