ProScript LINK PMR paired with GP EMIS system in R2 pilots

AAH Pharmaceuticals’ ProScript LINK PMR system continues to roll out across the UK as EPS R2 pilot sites in Sunderland are formally paired with EMISweb GP system.

Two Medichem Ltd pharmacies and one Ashchem Pharmacy in the North East city have been connected to the Electronic Prescription Service with an upgrade from LINK to ProScript LINK.

This new PMR solution allows the pharmacy to receive, manage and dispense electronic prescriptions originating from the two participating GP surgeries using EMISweb.

Sailesh Patel, pharmacist and owner of Medichem Ltd said that he was excited to be the first test case in England and looks forward to seeing how the venture will help develop his business and offering to the community.

Sailesh said: “It’s absolutely critical that we have seamless integration and I am confident from all that I have seen to date that ProScript LINK will be a success.”

AAH has now successfully rolled out its new ProScript LINK system across Scotland and has seen encouraging signs through its pilot sites that all is on track for the same outcomes in England and Wales.

Leon Rudd, director of marketing for the company said: “This particular test case is very exciting for us as both ours and the EMIS web GP system are new.

“It is our commitment to pharmacies and what we hope is greater collaboration between both they and GPs as we enter a new government that drives us to deliver what our customers are asking for.

“In this case it’s a simple to use and future proof PMR system and we believe that’s exactly what we have supplied.”
